Accessibility Features

The Phoenix Convention Center & Venues is an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant facility, and we work with event organizers to provide reasonable accommodations for all guests.

Each event organizer has staff and volunteers to answer specific questions about their event. Guests who need accommodations, such as large print materials, Braille, sign language/oral interpreters or other special needs during an event, should contact the event organizer.

Power Assisted Doors

Power assisted doors are located at the front of West, North, South Buildings off of 2nd and 3rd Streets, and Symphony Hall and Orpheum Theatre.

Service Animals Welcome

Only service animals, as authorized by the Department of Justice, Americans with Disabilities Act (Dogs and Miniature Horses), are allowed within our facilities.

ADA Braille Text

Meeting rooms, restrooms, and elevator buttons contain Braille text and raised characters and pictograms for our guests with vision loss.

Accessible Parking

The Phoenix Convention Center & Venues operate five parking garages that provide accessible parking spaces for people with disabilities. Spaces are marked accordingly, and each garage has several designated spaces available. ADA parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Motorcycles with disabled license plates are required to park in the designated motorcycle parking location always.

ADA Assistance Gathering Locations

During emergency evacuations, guests with disabilities should proceed to the nearest ADA Assistance Gathering Locations, where security staff will escort them from the building. These Gathering Assistance Areas are marked with signs on each level of the Phoenix Convention Center & Venues. If assistance is needed, please approach the nearest Information Desk or uniformed staff member for help.

Valley Metro Light Rail operates 18–22 hours per day, seven days a week and stops every 12–20 minutes along the 28-mile line linking Phoenix to neighboring communities and attractions. There is a dedicated stop on the Valley Metro Light Rail at the Phoenix Convention Center, making travel to and from the area convenient, especially to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

​Directions to Phoenix Convention Center from the Airport: Take the free PHX Sky Train from Level 3 of Terminal 4 to the 44th Street PHX Sky Train Station. From there, take the elevator or escalator down to the platform of the 44th St/Washington Valley Metro Rail stop. If you are traveling from Terminals 2 or 3, take the free black and silver PHX Airport Shuttle to Terminal 4 and then proceed to Level 3 to connect with the PHX Sky Train. The PHX Sky Train and Airport shuttles are designed for travelers with luggage and run seven days a week, 24 hours a day. ​
